Truman Pierson is the Co-Founder & CEO of Theta Neurotech, a clinical-stage startup developing wearable EEG stickers that predict and alert patients/caretakers of their impending seizures before they occur.
Truman is a recent graduate of the University of Chicago, where he independently developed algorithms for predicting epileptic seizures, detecting Alzheimer's Disease, and quantifying sleep quality. After his cousin was diagnosed with epilepsy as a newborn, he was exposed to the difficulties that her parents experienced due to the unpredictable seizures. Moved by this, he has built Theta Neurotech from the ground up. The company is set to complete its first real-time, 30-patient clinical study, beginning in 2026.
